POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
•A bachelor’s degree in commerce (Business Administration, Accounting or Finance) or Computer Information Systems or equivalent education and experience
•Minimum of 3 years working experience with SAP (preferably in the Canadian Oil & Gas industry)
•Previous experience in systems analysis and/or business process improvement
•Advanced proficiency in managing SAP Financial Master Data and querying related backend tables
•Experience with SAP Business Warehouse (BW/BOBJ), PowerBI, SAP Group Reporting and Winshuttle (or similar upload tools)
•Minimum of 3 - 5 years working experience in the Canadian Oil & Gas industry
•Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and a positive attitude
•Excellent customer service skills
•Strong business problem solving skills
•Above average analytical skills in order to secure relevant information/data and identify key issues and relationships to determine appropriate course of action
•Proven ability to work in a team environment dealing with people from various disciplines to achieve goals, and to identify and resolve problems
•Exceptional skills in effectively managing multiple tasks, often under pressure and within rigid time constraints.
 
The SAP Finance Solutions Team has a challenging opportunity available for a Business Analyst with superior analytical and business problem solving skills.
The team which is embedded within the Clients Corporate Controlling organization maintains the Finance Master Data in ECC6 and S/4 HANA
This position requires a detailed understanding of Finance Master Data, Joint Venture Accounting, and Reporting Hierarchies in SAP. Furthermore, an understanding is required of integrated systems such as SAP Group Reporting, Winshuttle, and Blackline.
The candidate will maintain positive working relationships with Clients Corporate and Operations Controlling organizations, and the IT organization.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Maintain Financial Master Data in SAP ECC6 and S/4 HANA Central Finance systems:
Maintain cost centers, cost elements, joint venture master data, general ledger accounts, hierarchies, legal entities, profit centers, sets etc. in multiple SAP systems.
o Master Data and Enterprise Structure Management in Group Reporting.
o Conduct Finance Master Data business risk analysis by evaluating requests for changes and determining the potential impact and consequences of requested changes on key business processes and stakeholders.
o Provide Finance Master Data subject matter expertise in support of all business process changes, and all SAP system transformation, migration, implementation, and optimization projects.
o Consistently adhere to approval matrices and SOX controls.
o Maintain evidence for SOX Control audits.
o Work closely with the SAP Finance Solutions – Closing team to support master data requirements during the month, quarterly, and annual closings.
o Ensure compliance with all applicable security and internal control guidelines.
o Monthly load of SAP Balances into Blackline Application
•Work closely together with SAP Finance Business Solutions’ Closing Team when optimizing and resolving issues in the areas of Master Data, and data replication between ECC6 and S/4 HANA.
•Master data maintenance Blackline
o Maintain user access and user roles.
o Maintain user to general ledger account assignments.
o Perform monthly loads into Blackline.
o Provide information for periodic SOX audits.
•Review, register, research and resolve Master Data support requests and documenting/ tracking these in ServiceNow.
•Supporting SAP S4 and legal entity optimization projects
