Procurement & Contract Manager
Location: Port of Tyne or Great Yarmouth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business needs and category strategies.
  • Lead the preparation and management of procurement activities, including requests for information (RFI), bidders’ lists, evaluation procedures, and tendering.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure timely award and execution of agreements.
  • Manage contract performance, ensuring adherence to KPIs and compliance with contractual terms.
  • Handle contractual changes, including variation orders, amendments, and terminations as required.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Safeguard compliance with SOX controls and ensure alignment with safety, ethics, and company values.
Key Requirements:
  • Experience in procurement and contract management, ideally within operations and maintenance (O&M), with a background in industries such as oil and gas, renewables, nuclear, or pharmaceuticals.
  • Proven ability to independently manage complex tasks with a significant impact on business objectives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience in supplier relationship management (SRM).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new processes, embrace change, and seek continuous improvement.
