Well Site Leader - Completions
Schedule: 14/14 Rotation
Duration: 4 month assignment
Job Synopsis Reporting to the Completions Superintendent, the Completions Well Site Leader (WSL) is responsible for supervising completion activities, including fracturing, wireline, coil tubing, snubbing, and rig work operations, as well as well intervention and workover operations at well sites. The Completions WSL will oversee multiple vendors managing various operations at the wellsite while also contributing to operational planning, safety and procedural development, and post-project appraisals.
Key Accountabilities
  • Provide front-line field supervision for all completion operations, including hydraulic fracturing, coil tubing, wireline, and workover rig activities.
  • Promote a safety-first culture by working with HSE teams and location leadership to conduct daily wellsite verifications and standard operating procedure (SOP) checks.
  • Oversee and coordinate day-to-day completion vendors, workover rigs, coil tubing units, frac crews, wireline units, miscellaneous pumping, water transfer, and flowback operations.
  • Ensure all operations comply with company SOPs, HSE policies, and applicable state and federal regulations, fostering strong performance and accountability among completion teams, vendors, and service providers.
  • Maintain effective communication with field and office staff, including managers, superintendents, and engineers, to support real-time decision-making for well operations.
  • Coordinate with various service providers for pre-planning and scheduling to minimize downtime and oversee reporting, field ticket approvals, and invoicing.
  • Document daily operations and manage cost reporting using Landmark OpenWells software.
Essential Experience and Job Requirements
  • Experience in completion operations, including fracturing, coil tubing, and workover rig activities.
  • Proven leadership skills and management experience with proficiency in MS O365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Landmark OpenWells software.
  • Strong technical competency in hydraulic fracturing, cased hole wireline, workover rig, coil tubing, and slickline operations, with significant experience in horizontal wells.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and experience supervising high-paced completion programs.
  • IADC Well Control Certification (required or must be obtained if not currently held).
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to meet and maintain eligibility requirements to operate a company vehicle.
Essential Education
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited state-certified program.

Pre-requisite Requirements:
  • 4-Wheel Drive Truck with Tools Required
  • Bring Your Own Device (BYOD): A personal laptop is required; the company does not supply one.
Pre-Requisite Training (Non-Billable) The following OSHA training courses must be completed prior to starting:
  • OSHA – H2S
  • OSHA – Hazwoper Training (8-Hour Course)
  • OSHA – First Aid / CPR
  • OSHA – Benzene Awareness
