Key Responsibilities:
- Security Operations Management:
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the security team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
- Conduct regular security audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
- Incident Response:
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies, providing leadership and coordination during such events.
- Conduct investigations into security breaches, thefts, or other incidents, and prepare detailed reports.
- Liaise with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Risk Management:
- Assess security risks and vulnerabilities, and develop strategies to address them.
- Implement and maintain risk management plans, including emergency response and disaster recovery plans.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Training and Development:
- Develop and deliver security training programs for employees and security personnel.
- Keep abreast of new security technologies and best practices, and recommend improvements to existing systems and procedures.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Maintain effective communication with the Security Manager, senior management, and other departments.
- Coordinate with external security agencies and contractors as needed.
- Prepare and present security reports and updates to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in security management or a related role.
- Proven experience in managing security personnel and operations.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, systems, and emergency response procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make sound decisions quickly.
- Proficiency in using security technology and software.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) are a plus.
