We are currently seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer, reporting to the Project Site Manager to join our Construction & Commissioning team in Perth, Western Australia on a 12 month fixed term contract.

About The Role

As Senior Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe and effective execution of all commissioning activities for onshore process plants, as directed by the Site Manager. You will promote and drive QHSE awareness, ensuring safe working practices and behaviour during the commissioning campaign, whilst managing multi-disciplined commissioning execution across E&I, mechanical, piping, controls and process.

This role will be based in the Perth CBD office until July/August and then transition to site based in Kwinana working up to 55 hours per week.

Your key responsibilities:
  • Prepare for commissioning scopes, covering plans, resources, permits, materials and documentation
  • Implement commissioning strategies for start-up and handover, ensuring processes meet technical requirements
  • Collaborate with the project team and stakeholders to prioritise tasks and meet the schedule
  • Identify risks and opportunities, report progress and resolve start-up issues
  • Manage completions and handovers, ensuring effective change management and problem solving
  • Attend meetings with clients, suppliers and/or consultants to assist on technical issues


About You

  • Relevant Bachelors degree or trade qualification
  • Strong onshore plant construction/commissioning experience within a brownfields environment
  • Adept at stakeholder engagement and management
  • Proficient with leading multi-disciplined teams
  • Proactive with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and construction management and completion applications
