We're looking for a Cost Estimator to join our team at our Zoetermeer office in The Netherlands. You'll report directly to the Estimating & Cost Control Manager.

About the mission we offer you:
As Cost Estimator youll operate as the bridge between our commercial and project teams. Youll act as the responsible person in creating and presenting the price sheets used to support sales activities and commercial bids on running projects and proposals.
General Tasks:
Is aware and cares for Health, Safety & Environmental aspects during daily actions, and drives HSE performance throughout project and or internal/ external services activities.

As Cost Estimator youll operate as the bridge between our commercial and project teams. Youll act as the responsible person in creating and presenting the price sheets used to support sales activities and commercial bids on running projects and proposals.
General Tasks:
Is aware and cares for Health, Safety & Environmental aspects during daily actions, and drives HSE performance throughout project and or internal/ external services activities.
- Responsible for cost estimation for proposals/projects of various sizes/types in the petrochemical and refinery sector
- Prepare and present the final estimation price sheet to management
- Shall hand over to project execution and provide further project support as required
- Shall be part of a team to develop and upgrade databases and tools on a continuous basis
Specific Tasks:
- Preparation of estimating plan and communicating and delegating its content to proposal team members in order to obtain all inputs and deliverables from internal and external parties required for estimate preparation
- Preparing estimates for all size proposals/projects (0.5 MMEuro-100+ MMEuro) in all scope ranges (E, EP, EPC, LSTK) and all ranges of accuracy (budgetary to Lump Sum) in a timely manner
- Preparation of Price Sheets in a clear and transparent manner for presentation of the estimates made
- Communicating closely with all proposal/project team members, Commercial and Proposal Managers
- Present and motivate the Price Sheet to Management for final approval prior to bid submission
- Handover of As Sold price sheet to Cost Control and support to Cost Control on project change order preparation
- Preparation of analysis, feedback, and close-out information on executed projects for use on ongoing estimates, benchmarking purposes and historical data
- Participate in developing and maintain departmental tools, procedures and databases

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, combined with Masters degree in technical discipline, preferably
- 5-8 years of experience in a similar position
- Your English communication skills are excellent both in speaking as well as in writing.
- Good understanding of the principles of cost control, estimating, management and project reporting
- Strong proficiency Excel
- You have strong analytical skills and are able to work under pressure but more importantly youre able to meet deadlines and make important decisions whilst being under pressure
