We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer, reporting directly to HOD - Electrical to join our Electrical team based in Doha, Qatar.

About the opportunity we offer:
Job purpose :
- Ensures continuity of engineering to site.
- Is in charge of technical interfaces with the sub-contractors.
- Is In charge of resolving first level problems at site.
- Performs simple calculations and draws sketches for any modification work at site.
Reporting lines and interactions:
- Hierarchically reports to: HOD, Electrical.
- Operationally reports to: Manager HOD, Electrical Manager.
- Key interactions (internally, externally): Discipline Manager and vendors.
Main Accountabilities:
- Site survey on shore / offshore for data retrieval
- Design of main SLD and auxiliary distribution schemes
- Protection & relay co-ordination
- Load calculations
- Power system study ETAP
- Earthing calculations
- Cable sizing calculation
- AC & DC UPS, DG set sizing calculations
- Equipment sizing & selection
- Familiar with Hazardous area classifications & layout
- Preparation of material requisitions for electrical equipment such as medium voltage/ low voltage switchgears, transformers, cables, DC/AC UPS equipment etc.
- Preparation of technical specifications of electrical equipment such as generator, transformer, medium voltage/ low voltage switchgears, cables, lighting packages etc.
- Technical bid evaluation
- Vendor interaction & discussion with clients
- Cable schedule, cable interconnection/ termination and cable routing
- Electrical layouts and materials list
- Lighting calculations and layouts
- Lightning protection design
- Layouts for electrical rooms
- Vendor drawings review
- Preparation of distribution board/panelboard schedules
- Field engineering support
- Familiar with International standards
About you:

- Bachelors degree in relevant field is required.
- Minimum 10 -15 years of experience in Oil & Gas sectors with independent working capability & effective communication skills.
- Fluency in English Language
