EngineeringWe have a current opportunity for a Cable Lay Superintendent on an offshore contract basis. The position will be working on several North Sea projects.

Role Summary:
As Cable Lay Superintendent, you will oversee the safe and efficient loading, transportation, and installation of subsea cables. You will lead a team on board and coordinate all cable-related operations to ensure high safety standards and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all cable operations meet the highest safety and efficiency standards.
- Lead a team of 10–15 foremen and operators.
- Conduct shift handover meetings.
- Coordinate with bridge officers and surveyors to optimize cable lay operations.
- Serve as the main point of contact for client representatives during operations.
- Supervise deck operations, including CIS, ROVs, cranes, and related equipment.
- Maintain cable integrity during all phases: loading, transport, and installation.
- Log daily activities and report to the Offshore Installation Manager.
Technical:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in subsea cable installation.
- Proven team leadership and communication skills.
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to protocols.
- Ability to perform under pressure.
- Flexible rotation availability.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written).
- Fit for offshore work.
- Full GWO (Manual Handling, Sea Survival, Working at Heights, Fire Awareness, First Aid)
- HUET-CA-EBS
- Chester Step Test (30 cm)
- Offshore Medical (NOGEPA)
- Valid Passport
- Work Permit & Visa (as per project location)
- Fluency in English required; additional languages are a plus.
