Lead the Electrical Engineering activities for North Field Expansion (NFXP and NFW) Offshore Project, ensuring technical requirements (e.g. project specifications, data sheets, etc.) fully comply with project deliverables and standardised processes and to provide support to NFE Offshore Engineering Manager ensuring all aspects are delivered to the highest standards.
The Electrical Lead will be responsible for providing expert technical guidance on the design, testing and installation for all Electrical equipment and electrical systems associated with the Offshore facilities and Onshore facilities (Offshore scope). The role ensures compliance with QELNG and international standards to enhance asset reliability and safety.
Required Skills:
8 years of experience in electrical engineering within major project environment in the oil and gas industry including 1 year experience in a supervisory role, having a broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, offshore facilities design, construction and operations.
Ensure that the Contractor’s Electrical engineering for Topsides, Onshore Facilities (Offshore scope) comply with the Contract requirements including project codes and standards.
Review and approve Contractor engineering deliverables (Design basis, Specifications, Philosophies, load lists, SLDs, Hazardous Area Classification DWGs, Power system studies for Topsides and Onshore facilities (Offshore scope). Review and comment on other discipline engineering deliverables.
Plan and schedule the Electrical engineering deliverables to enable efficient project execution, ensuring technical alignment and compliance with QatarEnergy LNG operational policies, standards of business conduct and project management system.
Participate in key design workshops and ensure that workshop recommendations are correctly implemented and actions closed (SAFOP, 3D model reviews, Lessons Learned, Value Engineering, cyber security, etc.).
Review vendor documentation for electrical equipment (Transformers, HV&LV Switch gear, ELICs, variable shunt reactor) and attend Factory Acceptance Test (FATs).
Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts with respect to the disciplines involved in delivery of the Electrical systems related to Topsides and Pipelines Engineering and ensure endorsement of Technical deviations to Company specifications when required.
