As a SHE Specialist, you'll play a vital role in driving our client’s "Goal Zero" vision: zero injuries, zero incidents, and a safe, healthy environment for all employees. Reporting to the Plant SHE Manager, you'll take ownership of implementing safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading initiatives that create a culture of safety and sustainability.
What You’ll Do
- Champion and implement SHE strategies aligned with corporate goals
- Lead safety assessments, identify risks, and drive preventative action
- Train and engage employees on HSE policies and practices
- Lead or support investigations of incidents and near-misses (Root Cause, 5-Why, TapRoot)
- Conduct industrial hygiene sampling and recommend safety improvements
- Support PSM/RMP programs, including MOC/PSSR and HAZOP assessments
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA/TCEQ, NFPA, DHS, and DOT regulations
- Prepare HSE reports, analyze trends, and present findings using PowerBI and MS Office
- Participate in audits (ISO, TPM, 5S), continuous improvement projects, and more
- What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (preferred)
- 3 years of HSE experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
- Strong environmental compliance knowledge
- Professional HSE certifications (ASP, CSP, OHST) preferred
- Advanced knowledge of at least two regulatory bodies (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and handle occasional call-outs
