Process Engineering Lead

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
•Single point of accountability for the execution of Process Engineering scopes during concept, pre-FEED and FEED through to EPC, commissioning and operational support.
•Ability to take responsibility and manage tasks through to completion.
•Adopt pragmatic, fit for purpose approach striving for simplicity without compromising on safety requirement or production objectives.
•Initiate, develop and manage intelligent process engineering systems and procedures. (P&ID, HYSIS, PIPSIM etc.)
•Define and safely deliver cost effective project (Process) solutions within challenging timescales.
•Direct Process Engineering and/or Contractors activities with respect to Process Engineering.
•Participate in Model (30%/60%/90%), HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, QRA and constructability reviews.
•Ensure Process Data Sheets and Specification for long Lead items are issued to enable earliest placement of enquires.
•Ensure integration of process design between vendor packages and the process systems.
•Prepare, review and approve internal (Process) technical procedures and scope changes.
•Coordination with other project discipline engineering team members and other internal stakeholders
•Monitor process engineering progress and ensure necessary information flow between disciplines to meet project milestones.
•Contribute and provide process engineering project status reports.
•Provide on-site support during construction and commissioning activities.
Requirements:
•Degree from a recognised University in applicable Engineering discipline - mechanical, process, chemical, petroleum engineering.
•Chartered Engineer or member of an internationally recognized Professional Engineering Association preferred.
•Must have contributed to a full-cycle execution of a gas processing plant (preferably high ‘10%’ sulphur) in EPC or EPCM environment, from FEED through to commissioning and handover. Experience in managing the associated safety and processing challenges.
•A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Lead Process Engineer with extensive onshore oil & gas project experience with an E&P Operator or Tier-1
•Engineering/EPC Company including at least two projects in sour gas environments.
•Previous project experience in the Middle East is essential.
•Technical management of all Process phases, including concept definition and development, detailed engineering, implementation (Construction and Commissioning) and close-out.
•Have a wide range of technical skills and experience and knowledge of practical process techniques and equipment typically, 2 & 3 phase separation, crude stabilization, H2S removal, water treatment, gas dehydration and sweetening, and process control and safety design.
•Hands on experience with construction and commissioning.
•Experience in developing technically acceptable, constructible and operable cost-effective solutions to complex problems.
•High level of proficiency in engineering software (HYSIS, FlareNet).
•Knowledge and understanding of modularized process plant design and installation.
•Ability to maintain a balance of structure, planning and predictability with fast execution.
•Train and mentor local staff as required.
•Familiar with sulphur recovery processes including acid gas injection is strongly preferred.
•Experience in contributing to complex projects with technical teams involving over 50 company and contractor personnel.
