No experience / No degreeGreat opportunity to work as a Business Development Manager for a Procurement / Logistics company who specialise in high-volume, low margin procurement and logistics within Oil & Gas, Renewables & Power Generration industries.
As Business Development Manager, you are responsible for identifying and converting new business opportunities to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow. With a focus on the energy transition, your actions will help to future proof the business by securing work within the emerging clean energy landscape, whilst continuing to support our oil and gas customers as they navigate the challenges of a declining hydrocarbons market. Crucially, you will promote the brand to increase customer awareness and build effective business relationships.

Roles & responsibilities:
- Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services.
- Foster and develop relationships with customers, partners and other stakeholders so that you can generate repeat business as well as find new opportunities.
- Think strategically by seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business and reach new audiences.
- Lead on and support bid-writing for new grants and tenders where appropriate.
- Develop a deep understanding of the business’ products and services and be able to present at exhibitions and conferences.
- Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing team.
- Utilising various channels to attract and source customers, attend seminars, conferences and events to build your network and profile.
- Build and maintain solid relationships with both new and existing customers.
- Hold regular customer visits to follow leads and ensure we are providing a first-class service.
- Contribute to the creation and compilation of annual budgets, strategies and tactical plans.
- Educated to graduate level with excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience within a similar position and demonstrable track record of achievement.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to work outside the UK, if required.
- Completion of IOSH Managing Safely course.
