NES Fircroft are delighted to be partnering with an International Energy client who are looking to add a Construction Manager to work on their plant improvement project based from Mumbai, India.

Our client, the plant Operator, are looking for a Construction Manager to represent their team based in the subcontractor’s office during the EPC phase of their project.

The role will be contract based for an initial 12 months duration.  It will require someone to be based in Mumbai for 2 weeks at a time, followed by 2 weeks remote working.

This role will suit an international expatriate candidate who has excellent experience working for an end user client, overseeing delivery of Construction works by external sub-contractors.

Pending successful delivery of Detailed Design phase, the role has strong potential to follow on for a further 6 months during Construction phase on site in Gujarat, India.  


 Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and guide the construction planning process, ensuring alignment with international best practices.
• Review and validate subcontractor construction plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to integrate constructability into planning.
• Transition to site-based supervision to ensure planned activities are executed effectively.
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections and progress reviews, reporting to senior project stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in construction planning and execution within brownfield oil & gas (or similar) projects.
• Strong understanding of construction best practices and local regulatory standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
