Job Description:
The Document Controller is responsible for managing and organizing project documentation, ensuring that all documents are accurately filed, easily retrievable, and compliant with company and industry standards. This role ensures proper document control procedures are followed to maintain smooth project operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Management: Establish and maintain a systematic filing system for all project-related documents, including drawings, contracts, and correspondence. Ensure all documents are accurately filed, properly indexed, and easily accessible.
- Document Control: Oversee the document control processes, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and properly distributed. Monitor and track revisions to maintain version control across documents.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all documents adhere to archiving policies, procedures, and industry standards. Review and update document control procedures to ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project teams, including managers, engineers, and other departments, to facilitate smooth document flow. Provide guidance and support to team members regarding document management systems.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on document status, including pending approvals, revisions, and distributions. Assist with audits by providing required documentation and reports.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in document control or a similar administrative role, preferably in the oil & gas, construction, or engineering industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in document management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with project management platforms (e.g., Aconex) is an advantage.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
- Personal Attributes: Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Eligibility:
- Open to Saudi nationals or expatriates currently residing in Saudi Arabia.
