We are seeking an experienced Pensions Administrator for a 2 year contract based in London.
You will ideally be experienced in managing corporate pension data and have a relevant qualification within the PMI i.e. APMI/RPC Advanced technical knowledge of Defined Benefit pension schemes, with a focus on UK pension legislation.
At least 5 years pension administration experience within a larger corporate organisation performing pension administration or pension project management.
MAIN DUTIES
Assisting in the management of key relationships with the 3rd party IT system provider, IT and IRM, the individual ensures the integrity of data held on the pensions administration system is maintained.
Immediate deliverables include being an integral part of the delivery of a high-profile IT system upgrade, with the introduction of new system functionality and promoting continual improvement within the TSU.
Integral role helping with the oversight of the main pension administration system supplied by a 3rd party (EQ Compendia).
This covers the day-to-day relationship with the 3rd party, being actively involved in upgrades and providing input on the strategic direction for the system.
Overseeing schedule of activities required to ensure compliance with legislative and reportable events.
Working with large volumes of sensitive and personal data to respond to time critical requests, actively delivering annual processes and reviewing the quality of data held in the TSU.
For example, annual events include the production and delivery of pension benefit statements and valuation extracts for the Scheme actuary.
A point of contact for relationship with key service providers.
Working with these providers on cross-boundary projects, such as the implementation of a major pension IT system upgrade whilst ensuring business continuity throughout the project.
Being an integral part of the user acceptance testing team for data and calculation routines.
Be a key member of the London based team of 3 people and be prepared to help with providing pension specific training.
Working with the pension teams in Finance Operations, to ensure support provided for their Data & Projects Team and, also working closely with the Payroll and Finance Team to ensure the successful delivery of all business-critical processes.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience of pensions administration systems, preferably Compendia and Procentia.
