Wood is currently recruiting a Junior Document Controller to work in our St. John's office on large scale brownfield offshore oil and gas projects.

The Role

As a Junior Document Controller, you will provide support to engineering projects by ensuring that the document control function is being performed in accordance with corporate procedures and project requirements in a timely and efficient manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting engineering projects through the management of project documentation
  • Ensuring that the document control function is being performed in accordance with corporate procedures and project requirements in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensuring project schedules and client approved budgets are managed and met
  • Communicating effectively with the appropriate engineering disciplines including providing ongoing updates on status of work
  • Ensuring required filing and archiving of technical documents is done in a timely manner
  • Storing, securing, revising, retrieving, distributing, and archiving electronic and hard copy documents
  • Adhering to all HSEQ requirements within Document Control in accordance with Wood procedures and management systems
  • Assist with processing technical documentation for the core projects

Expected:
  • Diploma from a post-secondary institution
  • Familiarization with Document Management systems
  • Ability to work independently, as well as within a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to take ownership of an assignment or task
  • Must be lawfully eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood
