Responsibilities
- Manage the lifecycle of all QMS documents, including creation, review, approval, distribution, and filing.
- Ensure that documents comply with the requirements of the AS9100 standard, AS13100, GE Aerospace requirements, Nadcap and other applicable standards.
- Assist QMS and Compliance leader on other assignments related to GE Aerospace Hermosillo quality management system.
- Coordinate periodic reviews of documents to ensure they are up to date and reflect current company processes.
- Implement changes to documents based on internal and external audits, corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain an organized system for storing and retrieving documents and records.
- Ensure that quality records remain accessible and meet the retention requirements established by the AS9100 standard, AS13100, GE Aerospace and Nadcap.
- Collaborate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with AS9100 and AS13100 document control requirements.
- Prepare the documentation required for audits and respond to observations related to document control.
- Train and coach staff on document control procedures and ensure they understand the proper use of documents.
- Provide support to different departments in the creation and control of documents.
- Propose and implement improvements in document control processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Participate in quality meetings to identify opportunities for improvement related to document management.
Required Qualifications
- Technical degree or bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Administration, Quality, or a related field.
- Proficiency in technical English
- Understanding of the AS9100 standard and its specific document control requirements.
- Understanding of AS13100 standard and Nadcap is desirable.
- Proficiency in electronic document management systems.
- Desirable knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in document control, preferably in the aerospace industry or any other highly regulated industry.
- Experience working under formal quality management systems.
- Experience in companies certified under the AS9100, ISO 13485, IATF 16949 standard or similar standards.
