JOB DESCRIPTION

Technip Energies and their partners were awarded an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the worlds first commercial scale gas-fired power station with carbon capture. The construction site is located in the Tees Valley in the North-East of England.

We are currently seeking an Executive Assistant to work alongside the Senior Leadership group and the rest of the team in the North-East of England.

The successful candidate will be site-based once the site offices are established but will work from our temporary offices in Middlesbrough until then.

Your mission

Role Overview:

The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative and strategic support to the Senior Management Team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and facilitating effective decision-making. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage a fast-paced workload in a dynamic construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Manage schedules, coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and ensure timely follow-ups.


  • Communication & Coordination: Act as a liaison between the Construction Director and internal/external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and project teams.


  • Project Assistance: Assist in tracking key project milestones, compiling reports, and ensuring documentation accuracy.


  • Document & Data Management: Handle confidential information, draft correspondence, and maintain project records.


  • Travel & Logistics: Organise travel arrangements, site visits, and events as needed.


  • Financial & Resource Oversight: Support budget tracking, expense reporting, and procurement processes.


  • Problem-Solving & Decision Support: Research, analyse, and present relevant information to aid decision-making.
  • Compliance & Safety Awareness: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, health and safety policies, and company standards.


Key Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in executive-level administrative roles, preferably in construction, engineering, or energy projects.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise across multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, and document control systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure, handle confidential matters, and anticipate executive needs.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, site operations, and industry regulations is an advantage.
