Play a key role in delivering a stable, secure, and scalable Jira platform that empowers global teams to solve complex problems. Shape how work flows through NOV by designing efficient systems, removing friction, and building tools that drive productivity. What You'll Do:
• Design and develop Jira software and service desks projects, workflows, SLA models, validators, post-functions, and global automation rules to streamline operations and reduce manual effort
• Integrate Jira with external systems using REST APIs, webhooks, triggers, and ScriptRunner automation
• Build dashboards, boards, and advanced JQL queries to provide users valuable information, cycle time, and SLA performance
• Manage Jira Assets (formerly Jira Insight) schemas and and objects to extend and maintain accurate CMDB information
• Mentor power users and admins by developing how-to documentation and delivering training sessions to promote best practices
• Monitor logs, caches, indexes, and Grafana dashboards to identify performance issues early and drive platform reliability and uptime
• Guide governance standards across workflow designs, issue types, and permissions, that support secure and collaborative usage
Minimum Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience administering Jira Data Center in a large-scale or enterprise setting
• Deep expertise in Jira Query Language (JQL) and dashboard creation
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Advanced Roadmaps for Jira
• Active Atlassian Certified Professional credential (e.g., ACP-100, ACP-600) or equivalent proven expertise
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Confluence Data Center administration or integration
• Scripting experience using Groovy (ScriptRunner)
• Familiarity with ITSM/ITIL v4 frameworks
• Experience contributing to change management or continuous process improvement initiatives
• Exposure to cloud-to-data center migrations or hybrid Atlassian environments
