Document Controller - Energy Projects
You know how chaotic project documentation can get when no one's really in charge of it?
This role is about not letting that happen.
We're looking for someone who's already worked on large infrastructure or energy projects and knows how to keep documents flowing, organised, and compliant - without needing to be micromanaged.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
Because when document control is done badly, projects suffer.
This is a chance to be the person who makes sure that doesn't happen - and to do it on projects that actually matter.
Want to know more before you apply? Just ask.
If you've read this far and it sounds like you, hit apply. If it doesn't - no hard feelings.

What You'll Actually Be Doing
- Running the document control system like a pro - receiving, tagging, distributing, archiving, and retrieving project documents.
- Making sure everyone follows the agreed procedures (even when they don't want to).
- Spotting issues before they become problems - and flagging them early.
- Helping junior team members get better at what they do.
- Working with engineers, project managers, and external partners to keep things moving.
- Suggesting improvements to how things are done - and being listened to.
- Producing status reports when needed (not every five minutes).
- At least 2 years' experience in document control on big, complex projects.
- Hands-on experience with EDMS platforms like ProArc, SharePoint, or Live Link.
- A decent understanding of how engineering and construction projects work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive mindset - you'll be expected to take initiative, not wait for instructions.
- Experience in renewables (BESS, solar, wind, hydrogen, gas peaking).
- Familiarity with quality systems and project management principles.
- A knack for training others and improving processes.
