The Documentation team is responsible for creating and maintaining production documentation, including Production Work Instructions (PWI), Process and Product Inspection (PII) documents, as well as updating generic inspections in our QDA system standards. The department also ensures proper maintenance of PFMEA, working closely with process engineers to secure accurate inputs.
As part of the Lay-up Department, the Documentation team will consist of 3-5 engineers specializing in manufacturing process documentation. The full Lay-up Department will include 10-16 highly skilled engineers, organized into five specialised teams: Process, Tooling, Documentation, Operational Support, and Training

Responsibilities

• Design and optimizing production processes, within lay-up operations: analysis of AS IS and future state, create Process Roadmap, develop Process requirements and specifications, develop and support manufacturing sites Process Industrialization and standardization, process Optimization, be part of building a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability
• Use digital tools like digital twins and data analytics to improve performance and make data-driven decisions
• Investigating and solving production issues using structured methods such as the 5x Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and FMEA
• Applying continuous improvement principles using quality tools like Statistical Process Control (SPC), Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and ensure final product quality

Qualifications

• University degree in Master of manufacturing engineering or a related field
• GB Six Sigma or Advance Manufacturing Process Analysis
• About 10 years of experience in similar roles
• Process requirements formulation
• Manufacturing process specification and process flow creation
• Data process analyses at a high level and worked in a data driven organization
• Driven optimization and standardization within manufacturing processes with use of the toolbox also mentioned above

Competencies

• Solid technical, analytical, and operational competencies within composite materials and precision manufacturing
• Knowledge of composite materials such as fiberglass, carbon fiber, and epoxy resins
• Proficiency in process design and optimization, particularly within blade lay-up or manufacturing processes
• Experience with problem-solving and quality tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and FMEA
• Familiarity with methodologies such as Statistical Process Control, Six Sigma, or Kaizen to implement efficiency and reduce waste
• Self-motivated, result-oriented, and well-organized with solid collaboration skills
• Open to working in a factory environment and committed to continuous learning and improvement
