Job Description:

Job Summary: The role will be responsible for building data platforms to support the delivery of business outcomes through advanced analytics. This role requires expertise in designing and implementing solutions that are based on open standards, which can integrate with existing infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex technology projects.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement innovative data platforms using open standards to enable advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation related to the platform architecture, components, interfaces, and functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation using data technologies.
- Create proof-of-concept prototypes and demos to showcase the potential benefits of new technologies.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, ensuring their professional growth and development.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in data technologies, integrating relevant ones into our processes as appropriate.

Qualifications:
- Experience in designing and implementing scalable and secure data platforms using open standards such as APIs, messaging protocols, and cloud computing services.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including object-oriented programming, system design, and configuration management.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash, and proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets.
- Solid grasp of information security best practices, particularly those related to data privacy and protection.
- Ability to work independently and drive results within a fast-paced environment while collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A passion for continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies in the field of data engineering and analytics.
