Job Title: Document Controller

Location: Various locations across West Yorkshire
Division: Environment (Water)

Our Environment Division:

Our Environment business delivers 'source to sea' infrastructure solutions across the UK and Scotland. Since AMP3, we have delivered more than £2bn of assets for major water companies including Yorkshire Water, United Utilities, Anglian Water, Thames Water, Southern Water, Welsh Water and Scottish Water.

We are going through an exciting period of transformation and growth as we invest in digital capability and modern ways of working.
Purpose of the Role:

As a Document Controller, you will support regional and functional teams by managing the production, control and distribution of project documentation in accordance with Galliford Try's Business Management System and Framework Management Plan.

You will ensure documentation is correctly controlled within the Common Data Environment (CDE), accurately named, stored and issued, and that teams are always working with the latest information. You will also support document handover, archiving and information compliance across your projects.

This role plays a key part in maintaining control, governance and quality of project information across the region.
Key Accountabilities:

• Control, issue and manage project documentation using company CDE systems
• Ensure all documentation complies with company and project information management standards
• Maintain registers and document control records
• Ensure revision control and document traceability
• Upload and transmit information between GT and client CDE systems
• Issue document transmittals and notifications
• Support handover and project close-out documentation
• Organise scanning and archiving of project records
• Support audits and compliance checks
• Act as a point of contact for information management queries across the region
About You:

• Experience in a Document Control or Information Management role
• Ideally background within a main contractor or construction environment
• Confident using CDE systems such as Viewpoint for Projects and Fieldview
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• IT literate across Microsoft packages
• Clear communicator with the ability to support wider project teams

About the Team

Our Environment Business provides 'source to sea' asset delivery capability across the UK and Scotland working on both Frameworks and Standalone projects. Since AMP3 we have delivered in excess of £2bn assets for clients such as Yorkshire Water, United Utilities, Anglian Water, Thames Water, Southern Water, Welsh Water and Scottish Water. As an established player in the market this a great opportunity to join the team at a time of transformation as we shape ourselves to be fit for delivery in a future digital world. We have recently secured a plethora of places on the AMP7 Frameworks for Yorkshire Water, Southern Water and Thames Water for both Infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure projects ranging from £1-40m over the next five years.
