Job Description
Are you an organised and detail-driven professional with experience managing technical documents in construction or engineering projects? We're looking for a Document Controller to work with our client and play a key role in ensuring project information is accurate, compliant, and always accessible.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update all construction and design engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports
Carry out quality assurance checks to ensure correct templates, naming conventions, and metadata are applied
Implement robust version control and maintain full traceability of document revisions
Organise, archive, and manage documents in line with company and project standards
Ensure all documentation meets project requirements and client specifications
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and up-to-date records
Distribute revised documents and specifications promptly to relevant stakeholders
Manage Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) such as Autodesk Vault, ProjectWise, Asite, or SharePoint
Train project team members on document control procedures and systems
Create and maintain trackers for document status, outstanding revisions, and compliance metrics
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or qualification in administration, information management, or equivalent practical experience
Previous experience in document control within construction or design engineering projects
Skills & Competencies
Proficient in EDMS platforms and the Microsoft Office Suite
Good understanding of construction workflows and design processes
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
