OnSite is looking for a highly organised and detail-driven Document Controller to play a critical role in the successful management of project documentation across our Severn Trent Water (STW) programmes.

You'll be responsible for ensuring all project documentation is correctly logged, reviewed, approved, issued, stored, and maintained in line with OnSite's Principal Contractor responsibilities, STW's governance requirements, and relevant industry standards.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, communicates confidently, and enjoys working collaboratively with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.

The Role:
  • Manage and control all project documentation (drawings, RAMS, permits, reports, certificates, technical submissions).

  • Ensure documents are reviewed, approved, and issued in line with Principal Contractor and Severn Trent Water (STW) requirements.
  • Upload and manage documents within required systems (e.g. CDEs, SharePoint, SAP).
  • Support compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Liaise with project teams and stakeholders to ensure timely submission and approval of documents.
  • Support audits and maintain accurate, up-to-date records.

What you'll need:

Essential
  • Minimum 2 years' document control experience within construction, engineering, utilities, or infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of document control processes and version management.
  • Experience using document management systems (CDEs, SharePoint, etc.).
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and communicate effectively.

Desirable
  • Experience within the water sector (ideally STW).
  • Understanding of CDM and Principal Contractor responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001).
  • Experience supporting audits and governance reviews.

What you'll get in return:
  • Family-Friendly Leave
Enhanced Maternity, Adoption, Paternity & Shared Parental Leave, Fertility Support, and up to 5 paid Carer's Days.
  • Financial & Life Assurance
Life Assurance cover (role dependant) and a Company Pension Scheme with salary sacrifice options.
  • Health & Wellbeing
Employee Assistance Programme (8 counselling sessions) and 24/7 Virtual GP access for you and your dependents.
  • Lifestyle & Perks
Cycle to Work Scheme and My Premier Benefits discounts, cashback, and vouchers.
  • Professional Development
Hands-on training and ongoing career development opportunities
  • Inclusion & Belonging
Active People Networks - Disability & Neurodiversity, Unity+, Women's Network, Parent & Carer Networking Group and more.
  • Performance & Recognition
Annual salary review, Reward & Recognition Scheme, and Long Service Awards.
  • Flexibility & Opportunities
Overtime available and flexible shifts / hybrid working (role dependant)
