About the role

Balfour Beatty is a leading international infrastructure group, delivering complex projects that shape the future of the built environment. We are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Document Controller to join our team on a prestigious Rolls-Royce project based in Derby.

As a Document Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate management, control, and distribution of project documentation. You will support the project team by maintaining robust document control processes, ensuring compliance with company standards and client requirements.

What you'll be doing

As a Document Controller you will:
  • Manage and maintain all project documentation in line with established procedures
  • Ensure documents are correctly numbered, filed, and distributed
  • Control the flow of documentation between project teams, subcontractors, and the client
  • Maintain document registers and trackers, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with quality management systems
  • Liaise with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure document control requirements are met.
Who we're looking for

You will have the following:
  • Previous experience in a Document Controller role, ideally within construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency in document management systems (e.g. Viewpoint, Aconex, Asite, or similar)
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
