Regional Commodity Manager - Castings, Forgings and Machined Parts
Job Description
CCL Global are currently recruiting for a Regional Commodity Manager in Saudi Arabia to lead the Castings, Forgings and Machined Parts commodities. This position is an individual contributor role that provides strategic leadership for their assigned commodity.
Location: Dammam, Saudi Arabia
Type of Contract: Permanent Residential
Key duties will include:
- Lead the Castings, Forgings and Machined Parts commodity for Saudi region supplier base.
- Support the Saudi localization strategy for Large Gas Turbines with focus on driving the local content share for Castings and Forgings.
- Ensure Saudi Arabia region supplier base is identified and effectively used by the department.
- Ensure transparency on cost structures and spend in area of responsibility via Commodity Circles.
- Increase Managed Spend in the area of responsibility by safeguarding awarding following the defined commodity strategy for Saudi region supplier base.
- Implement periodic strategic procurement activities – negotiations planning, commodity strategy updates, awarding strategy and sourcing board approvals, quarterly review meetings, etc.
- Prepare, negotiate, award and make available frame contracts & price lists for strategic suppliers in accordance with business and market requirements.
- Generate, document and implement savings measures, supervise and report relevant critical metric.
- Drive early procurement / supplier involvement and cost out activities via respective Commodity Circles.
- Identify procurement risks and opportunities and implement respective measures, Feedback Saudi region supplier market information and knowledge to stakeholders through network.
Requirements:
- BE,/ B.Tech Mechanical, Supply Chain Management with minimum of 10 years’ collective experience working in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sourcing or similar function and having Casting and Forgings experience is must.
- Advanced knowledge of sourcing processes. Experience handling Long Term Contracts and negotiating complex terms and conditions.
- Strong working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes for assigned commodity. Excellent leadership skills and proven track record to lead change.
- Experience using financial and data-driven techniques to make decisions.
- Ability to influence through effective verbal and written communication skills; clearly and succinctly conveys information and ideas to individuals and groups. Good problem solving and decision-making skills, Leader, self-starter.
- Can travel to 20% both domestically and internationally.
- Fluent In English & Arabic
- Knowledge of Turbine & Turbomachinery Industry
