No experience / No degreeWe are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Deal Implementation Analyst to support one of our major clients in the execution and management of a wide range of commercial transactions across the hydrocarbon space, including gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel. This role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, finance, and project coordination and plays a key role in delivering deal value across complex commercial environments. You’ll work within a cross-functional team to coordinate deal-making activities, develop valuation models, manage data flows from SAP, and ensure accurate pricing structures are implemented. You will also contribute to the continual improvement of internal systems such as SharePoint and reporting processes. This is a full-time contract role based in Calgary, AB.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Support deal execution across all phases, including setup, pricing, financial analysis, documentation, and internal assurance activities.
* Lead and support deal workstreams under the guidance of the Deal Manager or Team Lead.
* Develop and maintain valuation models and pricing tools to support M&A and commercial transaction decisions.
* Create detailed "price pages" aligned with SAP pricing structure and business requirements.
* Access, extract, and manipulate commercial data from SAP to support summary reporting and business reference sheets.
* Coordinate project management activities for deal teams, ensuring alignment across stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables.
* Identify areas for continuous improvement in deal implementation methodology and tools.
* Drive the optimization of team SharePoint sites to enhance efficiency and accessibility of deal information.
To be successful:
Experience needed:
* 2–5 years min of relevant experience in commercial deal support, financial analysis, and/or project coordination, ideally in the energy, oil & gas, or commodity trading sectors.
* Experience supporting transaction execution or deal implementation in a structured, matrixed environment.
* Demonstrated ability to analyze and manipulate large datasets from systems like SAP.
Further Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
* Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, PMP) are considered an asset.
* Strong understanding of hydrocarbon commercial deal structures, especially for gasoline, diesel, and jet fuels.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data modeling) and solid knowledge of other Microsoft tools (PowerPoint, Word).
* Experience working with SAP for pricing, data extraction, and business process support.
* Comfortable working with and improving collaboration platforms like SharePoint.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively across multi-location and cross-functional teams.
* Self-motivated, accountable, and able to operate with minimal supervision
* Know this is a full-time contract role, 40 hours per week in Calgary, Alberta.
* Be legally entitled to work in Canada (i.e., by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work permit)
