We are looking for our future Procurement - Governance Specialist to join our Supply Chain team in the Netherlands with a fixed-term contract for one year.

As a Procurement - Governance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing procurement operations across the business. You'll design and maintain governance frameworks, optimize processes, and ensure alignment with internal policies and external regulations. This role requires strong stakeholder collaboration to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable processes that drive consistency, compliance, and efficiency.

Job Environment

You'll be part of the Global Supplier Alliance (GSA) team, which oversees procurement and supplier management for both Direct and Indirect categories across ResMed's global operations. The GSA team is regionally distributed but closely connected, fostering a collaborative, flexible, and inclusive work culture. Let's talk about key responsibilities:

• Process Design & Optimization
  
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of scalable, efficient procurement processes.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions with cross-functional stakeholders to gather insights and solicit alignment.
• Governance & Compliance
  
  • Design and implement governance frameworks that ensure consistency, compliance, and accountability across procurement activities with the goal of generating high integrity data.
  • Define clear process ownership, decision rights, and escalation protocols.
• Technology & Enablement
  
  • Collaborate with digital and data teams to identify and implement technology solutions-including AI and automation-to enhance procurement workflows and decision-making.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends in procurement technology and assess their applicability to our environment.
• Stakeholder Engagement
  
  • Act as a liaison between procurement, legal, finance, IT, and business units to ensure process alignment and integration.
  • Build strong relationships to drive adoption and resolve friction points.
• Process Documentation & Training
  
  • Collaborate with the policy and documentation team to ensure processes are accurately captured and maintained.
  • Lead training and change management efforts to ensure teams understand and adopt new processes.
• Continuous Improvement
  
  • Monitor process performance and compliance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Champion a culture of operational excellence and continuous learning.
• Operational support
  
  • Supports the buying activities, supplier queries and associated supplier onboarding processes.
  • Resolves purchasing related issues and partners with the business to enable smart spending.

Let's talk about qualifications and exeperience:

Required

• Proven experience in process design, governance, or operations within procurement or a related function.
• Strong understanding of procurement lifecycle, sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and compliance.
• Familiarity with digital tools and platforms used in procurement; openness to exploring AI and automation where beneficial.
• Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with change management and training programs.
• Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).

Preferred:

• Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle) is a plus.
• Strategic thinker with a bias for action.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity.
• Collaborative and empathetic communicator.
• Passion for operational excellence and innovation.
