Job Description & Summary

About the role:

Are you ready to deliver innovative Sourcing Optimisation programmes using Coupa's premier sourcing optimisation platform (CSO)? Do you have the drive to elevate global organisations' Source-to-Pay functions into competitive advantages? Join PwC's Digital Procurement team and be instrumental in delivering transformative value across a wide array of industries worldwide.

As a Senior Manager, you will lead cost reduction programmes harnessing the advanced capabilities of Coupa Sourcing Optimisation (CSO) to drive significant value for our clients. You will be responsible for managing the operational delivery of our sourcing optimisation engagements including delivery teams. This role is critical to ensuring that our services are organised and delivered in a standardised and consistent manner, in line with our unique methodology for delivering results. You will also play a leadership role on the full lifecycle of tech-enabled Source-to-Pay transformations, managing PwC teams and owning senior client relationships.

You will be at the forefront of strategic sourcing - leveraging advanced analytics, scenario modelling and constraint-based optimisation to enable smarter, data-led decision-making. You will remain up to date with the latest S2P technologies - understanding best practice business processes and how this can be enabled with leading system functionality. Working alongside a dynamic, cross-functional team, you will implement best-in-class sourcing strategies, enable procurement transformation, and mentor delivery teams on CSO and S2P programmes.

The role focuses on driving strategic, digital approaches to regional and global procurement organisations. You will have regular interactions with client leadership teams and be responsible for organising large-scale, global programmes. The dynamic nature of this position requires adaptability and comfort working with diverse stakeholders in ambiguous situations, encouraging innovative thinking and exploration of potential rather than limitations.

This role can be based in London, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Edinburgh, or Belfast.

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing Optimisation:
  • Lead the delivery of sourcing optimisation engagements using CSO - executing complex sourcing events across multiple categories and industries.
  • Design, build and execute complex award scenarios, incorporating business rules, cost drivers, capacity constraints and sustainability goals.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into tailored sourcing strategies, considering CSO's advanced capabilities and functionality.
  • Generate actionable insights from scenario analysis to support supplier selection and negotiation decisions.
  • Design, build and deliver e-auctions in CSO.

Digital Procurement Transformation:
  • Collaborate with clients to design and implement S2P processes and solutions.
  • Provide expertise across the full S2P process and how this integrates.
  • Bring knowledge of S2P transformation roadmaps and help clients to develop theirs.
  • Deliver tech-enabled source-to-pay (S2P) transformations from design through to execution.

Client Engagement & Leadership:
  • Act as the lead advisor to clients, building strong relationships and positioning PwC as the partner of choice.
  • Facilitate client workshops, run training sessions and system demos - advising on best practices across the S2P lifecycle.
  • Manage project delivery, risk and timelines for CSO and S2P engagements.
  • Mentor and develop junior consultants and Coupa analysts in sourcing optimisation methodologies and delivery excellence.

Digital Enablement:
  • Stay ahead of the curve on Coupa product innovation.
  • Advise clients on how CSO integrates with broader Coupa modules (CLM, Spend Analysis, Supplier Risk etc) to deliver end-to-end digitisation.
  • Support clients in defining their digital roadmap and embedding continuous improvement.

Join us to be a catalyst for smarter sourcing and procurement innovation. At PwC, we combine deep procurement expertise with digital insight to deliver transformative outcomes. If you are passionate about digital procurement; about unlocking value and reducing complexity for our clients - we want to hear from you!

The skills and experience we are looking for:
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, e-sourcing, procurement transformation and procurement technology implementation.
  • Worked on at least 2 tech-enabled S2P transformations across all phases.
  • Proven experience using CSO or other advanced sourcing optimisation platforms (e.g. Trade Extensions, Keelvar, Jaggaer ASO)
  • Proven experience delivering e-auctions.
  • Deep understanding of S2P processes, sourcing strategy, supplier evaluation and negotiation frameworks.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Interested in digital procurement trends with an analytical mindset; advanced understanding of data analytics is essential.
  • Demonstrates digital curiosity-comfortable learning new technologies independently ("Google it" mentality).
  • Process-oriented approach combined with strong attention to detail.
  • Problem solver who can bridge business needs with technical capabilities effectively.
  • Highly analytical (Excel, maths, data)
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills across all organisational levels.
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities; proactive work ethic
  • Track record of delivering sourcing value across direct and indirect spend categories
  • Experience working across a variety of industries and sectors is highly desirable
  • Coupa certification preferred but not essential
  • Willingness to travel to meet client and project needs
