Procurement Coordinator (Fixed term - Jan 2027)

An opportunity has arisen in the Bettys Commercial team and we are looking for a Procurement Coordinator to join us on a 12 month contract, to cover for an internal secondment at Bettys Bakery in Harrogate where we manage the procurement aspects of all food raw materials, packaging, giftware and consumables for Bettys. As a Procurement Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating and providing operational support for the buying processes within the Commercial team.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide first-line support for procurement queries and escalate as needed
- Maintain procurement data and ensure data quality across systems
- Generate reports and dashboards to track procurement trends
- Assist buyers with ethical trading and sustainability data
- Communicate supply updates and coordinate mass supplier messaging
- Validate invoices and resolve pricing discrepancies
- Maintain approved supplier lists and manage segmentation reviews
About you:
- Experienced in a Senior Admin or Coordinator role, with a focus on analysis and continuous improvement
- High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communicator with strong organisational skills
- Analytical thinker and confident problem solver
- Self-motivated and able to take ownership of tasks
- Proactive and capable of resolving issues independently or collaboratively
- Curious and creative, with a drive to understand and improve processes
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, Teams, SharePoint, PowerBI
- Willing to learn and use new systems, particularly IFS
