South Lanarkshire Council are seeking a Senior Procurement officer based within the Council's Procurement Service, which manages the contract requirements of all Council Resources with annual spend up to £400m. The Council has a dynamic approach to procurement, developing innovative approaches to sourcing and focused on the delivery of Best Value. The Council's expectations for this role reflects our status as a "F1" PCIP performance organisation.
You should have extensive experience in procurement, with a high standard of technical knowledge of procurement regulations and qualified to at least CIPS level 4. The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated and committed to the delivery of Best Value for the Council. Supervisory experience, with the ability to lead projects and manage teams to deliver on the Council's strategic procurement objectives is preferable.
Placement within the band will be dependent on experience.
