BUYER - CONTRACT – SURREY/NORTH WALES

Our Client, a global leader in the engineering and construction of major projects for the energy and infrastructure sectors, both offshore and onshore, is currently looking for a Buyer on a long term contract basis.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: Proven experience (at least 4-5 years) as Buyer or equivalent for both goods and services in the Oil&Gas or Energy industry
- Technical skills: Goods and services purchasing strategy
- IT skills: SAP, MS365
JOB SCOPE
Purpose of the position: As Buyer, you will report to the Site manager on a daily basis. You will be part of our Decommissioning & Carbon Capture and Storage Project. You will be the focal point for all the buying activities of the project onsite (direct & indirect, goods & services).
Responsibilities:
- Manage in autonomy the Purchase Requisitions received from the section lead for any goods and services
- Review the PR to ensure they are complete and consistent with the budget and technical needs of the project
- Prepare a tender strategy with proper documents to explain our procurement process to vendors with the relevant timelines and qualification information
- Liaise with bidders, inspectors, vendors, and the Surrey office on a daily basis to ensure all the parties understood the needs and requests
- Support the vendors during the preparation of the technical/commercial proposals with obligation of confidentiality
- Compare different proposals from vendors and suggest actions to be taken in order to improve project results
RATE: Please quote what limited company hourly rate you would be looking for.
DURATION: Start date: January 2026 (first month in the Surrey office for training), then onsite in North Wales from February. No accommodation provided at either location as outside IR35.
Contract duration: ongoing until 2028
WORK PATTERN: Up to 5.5 days per week.
