Procurement Category Manager

We are looking for a Procurement Category Manager to join the AXA Partners Procurement Department.

You are a key element in the following areas:
• Sourcing: Cost optimization by defining the best sourcing strategy with business partners for each purchasing category. Rationalize the supplier base and manage the inherent risks. Actively contribute to the savings plan.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Optimize the Client/Supplier relationship and manage the associated risks. This includes notably: analysis of vendor portfolio by category, measurement of their performance and contract management (compliance with conditions / defined SLAs), and implementing a risk-based approach.

What you'll be doing:
You are a key element in the following areas:

• Supplier Relationship Management: Optimize the Client/Supplier relationship and manage the associated risks. This includes notably: analysis of vendor portfolio by category, measurement of their performance and contract management (compliance with conditions / defined SLAs), and implementing a risk-based approach.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- To successfully deliver Sourcing Projects, working closely with Stakeholders across the global AXA Partners organization.
- To support the delivery of savings and Service Improvements when the contracts are operational and thereby maximizing the value for money of our agreements with third parties, by challenging demand and supporting negotiations with third parties
- To manage the risks associated with the company's suppliers in the specific categories across AXA Partners & minimizing the legal and reputational risks associated with third parties
- SME of Policies, Processes, Procedures and Systems used to Procure Goods and Services across AXA Partners
- Driving continuous improvement and innovation in our supply base through suppliers consolidation, introduction of new suppliers and promotion of preferred supplier lists.
What you'll bring:
- Degree level qualification
- End to end procurement knowledge. Extensive experience in Sourcing across key categories (Professional services, consulting, HR, Law firms, Strategic consulting, etc.). Experience of Procurement in a Global Environment.
- Strong negotiating skills. Experienced in managing Contracts and Supplier Relationships.
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to understand/review contracts including legal aspects.
- Customer focus
- Ability to build trusted relationships and collaborate with a broad range of diverse and geographically spread out stakeholders.
- Ability to work within challenging deadlines and rapidly changing priorities.
- Experience working in a regulated environment
- Fluent in English (C1)
