What you'll achieve in the role:
The purpose of this role is to ensure the effective delivery of contracted works and services by managing performance and overseeing projects so they are delivered on time, within budget, and to Raven and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage a portfolio of 30+ contractors, ensuring full compliance with legal, regulatory, and insurance requirements.
- Maximise value for money by controlling costs, monitoring KPIs, and driving service quality.
- Oversee procurement lifecycles, ensuring timely retendering and contract renewals.
- Provide leadership and development to a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Collaborate across departments to optimise budgets and streamline workflows.
What you'll bring to Raven:
For this role, we are looking for someone with the following:
- Strong understanding of contract management principles, including JCT and other relevant contract types.
- Technical knowledge of building maintenance and construction methods, supported by trade experience or a relevant qualification (e.g., CIH or equivalent).
- Proven ability to prepare and evaluate tender documents with high attention to detail.
- Financial and commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets and analysing contract data.
- Demonstrable experience managing external contractors and leading negotiations in property services or housing environments.
