Procurement Support Specialist

As a national disability and education charity obtaining best value when buying goods and services is critical to our success. That's why we wish to appoint a new Procurement Support Specialist to provide essential support to the procurement team, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the team and the delivery of a cost-efficient and high-quality service.
It goes without saying that you will be able to build strong relationships with key external and internal stakeholders as a key part of your role will be supplier relationship management to ensure that we source best value products and services, efficiently and sustainably. You will also work closely with various teams across National Star, advising and supporting them with procurement matters.
Attention to detail, strong administration / organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks are vital as your responsibilities will include updating procurement systems, tracking order progress and liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deal with enquiries and resolve queries, ensuring that all relevant details are included, approvals are in place and goods arrive on time.
Supporting the Procurement Manager, you will also use your analytical and reporting skills to help produce monthly summaries and metrics, monitoring supplier performance and looking at ways of helping us to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
The ideal candidate is likely to have work experience in a procurement role or an administration role supporting a procurement / purchasing team. You will be self-motivated with a "can do" approach to practical and creative problem solving. Above all you will enjoy being able to make a positive contribution to a busy team.
