Role Purpose

Are you a visionary sourcing leader with a passion for transforming how organisations attract, support, and develop their people? At Chain IQ, we're looking for a bold, strategic HR Subject Matter Expert with deep UK Benefits expertise to join our Professional Services Sourcing team and help redefine the way HR services are delivered across the globe.

In this high-impact role, you won't just manage sourcing initiatives-you'll architect them. Your primary focus will include UK Benefits, Pensions, Insurance, and Learning & Development, covering employee benefits programmes, pension schemes, healthcare and wellbeing solutions, regulatory compliance, and supplier market evaluation, while also supporting broader HR subcategories including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Payroll, Reward, and HRIS platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partner Engagement

• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders.
• Act as a strategic advisor, translating business needs into sourcing strategies.
• Influence decision-making through commercial insight and market expertise.

Sourcing Strategy & Execution

• Lead complex, multi-regional sourcing projects across HR subcategories, with a strong focus on UK Benefits and Pension programmes.
• Manage RFPs/RFIs, supplier evaluations, and selection processes.
• Ensure alignment with organisational priorities and compliance standards.

Commercial Strategy & Deal Structuring

• Analyse financial models and cost scenarios to inform negotiations.
• Structure deals that balance commercial advantage with operational fit.
• Drive cost savings while maintaining service quality and scalability.

Contracting & Compliance

• Draft and negotiate contracts including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), amendments, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
• Ensure supplier performance, issue resolution, and regulatory compliance.
• Support compliance with UK employee benefits and pensions regulations, including Auto-Enrolment requirements, FCA-related considerations, and UK employment legislation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to uphold contractual integrity.

Market Intelligence & Supplier Management

• Stay ahead of HR market trends, innovations, and regulatory developments.
• Monitor UK Benefits and Pensions market developments, supplier changes, and industry trends.
• Manage supplier relationships to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Benchmark performance and drive supplier accountability.

Governance & Quality Standards

• Apply Chain IQ's sourcing methodologies and tools with precision.
• Contribute to category strategy development and process optimisation.
• Champion best practices across sourcing and procurement functions.

What you bring

Education

• Bachelor's degree required (Business, Supply Chain, Human Resources, or related field); MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.

Professional Experience

• Demonstrated UK Benefits and Pensions subject matter expertise is required.
• Proven success sourcing UK employee benefits programmes (pensions, healthcare, risk benefits, wellbeing and flexible benefits) in addition to Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Payroll, Reward, and HRIS platforms.
• Experience managing sourcing projects exceeding multi-million-pound thresholds.
• Experience advising HR stakeholders on benefits design, supplier capabilities, market trends, and regulatory considerations.

Stakeholder & Supplier Management

• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional collaboration.
• Skilled in supplier performance management and commercial deal structuring.

Strategic & Financial Acumen

• Strong understanding of total cost of ownership, pricing models, and cost-benefit analysis.
• Ability to build financial baselines and support data-driven decision-making.

Compliance & Technical Expertise

• Knowledge of UK GDPR and data protection requirements relating to employee information.
• Strong understanding of UK pensions and employee benefits regulations, including Auto-Enrolment, The Pensions Regulator requirements, employment legislation, and related governance frameworks.
• Proficiency in SAP Ariba, Excel, PowerPoint, and sourcing analytics tools.
