Job Description
Procurement Operations & Efficiency
- Execute and oversee project-specific procurement, including supplier selection, purchase order processing, and contract execution.
- Maintains the supplier relationship for all assigned lots, requesting sourcing and category management group's support when supplier base needs improvement or significant changes are observed.
- Support procurement operations team in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) related to time, quality, cost, and sustainability.
- Ensure strict adherence to compliance frameworks, procurement policies, and risk management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize procurement efficiency.
Supplier Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Lead contract negotiations including purchase orders, change orders and claims to optimize the price and conclude favorable contractual terms for KVI.
- Ensure supplier's compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Management
- Work closely with engineering, construction, project, sourcing & category management teams, among others, to ensure smooth contract execution and support implementation of procurement strategies.
- Effectively support project requirements and their implementation in supplier contracts.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects and internal SCM projects as representative of Procurement Operations Team.
- Share know-how across the team members and extended operations team globally.
- Identify, engage, and develop stakeholder management strategies to enhance procurement's impact within the organization.
Leadership
- Mentor procurement team members as required across various regions and business units.
- Oversee workload situation together with direct manager and support where necessary within available spare capacity.
- Contribute to define Procurement Operation's specific KPIs and performance metrics to measure success for the allocated lots.
- Foster a culture of continuous compliance, improvement, innovation, and excellence in procurement.
- Participate in trainings and leverage the acquired know-how over extended team to enhance team performance.
Communication & Promotion
- Prepare thoroughly the award meetings and every meeting with internal or external stakeholder. Collect and present relevant data to support data-based decisions.
- Communicate and promote procurement operations role and capabilities to all stakeholders involved, foster collaboration, efficiency and harmonization.
- Leverage data-driven analysis to support improvements within SCM.
- Be able to adapt the communication style to different stakeholder levels.
Process & Tools Optimization
- Actively support the implementation of lean processes.
- Support introduction of automation tools and innovative technologies to improve efficiency.
- Benchmark procurement operations against industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- University, MBA or High School degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or related fields
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position
- Successful proven working experience as Procurement Manager, Project Manager or other related fields ideally within EPC, Energy from waste or Power sector.
- Advanced negotiation skills (Iterative Procurement & Claims management)
- Knowledge of Supply Chain processes
- Knowledge of company tools and eProcurement solutions (ERP, Ms Office, ...)
