Your role
Symrise is looking for a Global Procurement Category Manager to lead the strategy, performance, and development of our Texturing Agents category.

In this pivotal role, you will drive global value creation, strengthen supplier partnerships, and secure sustainable & resilient supply for our Taste, Nutrition & Health business.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and execute the global category strategy to deliver value, savings, and competitive advantage.
• Drive global tenders and negotiations to secure optimal cost, quality, and supply performance.
• Build and manage a strong strategic supplier network to foster continuous improvement.
• Provide market intelligence to support pricing, business decisions, and risk management.
• Implement responsible sourcing in line with global sustainability criteria.
• Enable procurement excellence by improving processes, tools, and ways of working.
• Support working capital improvement (DPO & inventory).
• Coach regional teams on Strategic Sourcing and ensure consistent global implementation.
• Communicate category strategies, performance, and risks to leadership.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and partner with internal teams to support growth and margin initiatives.

About you
About you:

• Degree in Procurement, Food Science or related field.
• 5+ years of strategic procurement experience, ideally in a matrix or global organization.
• Strong strategic sourcing expertise and solid negotiation skills.
• Experience in project management and transformation.
• Clear, proactive communicator with strong stakeholder management abilities.
• Structured, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Digitally savvy - proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and SAP.
• Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel 20-30% internationally.
