About the role:
As an experienced procurement professional, you'll thrive in abusy commercial environment. You'll build meaningful and strong relationshipswith internal and external stakeholders to drive procurement excellence atevery stage of the process.
This is a fast-paced role, which requires attention to detail andworking to tight deadlines. Ensuring compliance to policies and processes willenable you to drive improved commercial outcomes and to deliver results thatsupport the overall procurement strategy here at Drax.
As a senior member of a transformative team you'll help drive thesuccessful delivery of the overall procurement team goals. Day-to-day you'll beresponsible for all aspects of the Source to Contract cycle while consideringrisk and cost. You'll play a key role inthe development and implementation ofsourcing strategies to maximise value whilst ensuring the right level ofgovernance is applied. You'll also provide day to day procurement guidance andadvice to other team members.
Building new relationships and working with a wide range ofinternal customers will be the key to success in this role. You'll work closelywith the wider procurement team, to ensure continuous improvement and bestpractice is shared throughout the team to optimise performance.

Who we're looking for:
You'll have strong technical procurement skills, ideally with Mechanical,Electrical and Civils works category experience and understanding of bestpractice. Procurement skills must include sourcing, close familiarity withcommercial pricing models, contract terms and conditions, and negotiations.
You'll be comfortable in proactively challenging stakeholders anddemand, while providing a prompt, efficient and personalised service at alllevels. This is imperative, to ensure that customer needs are met, andproductive relationships are built and maintained. You should also be effectivein ensuring departmental policies and processes are communicated andfollowed.
It is key that you are a self-starter with a 'can do/will do'attitude who has the energy, drive and commitment to make things happen and theability to work collaboratively across teams and geographies to form alignment.The ability to identify key opportunities for Procurement support andprioritise workload effectively is essential.
If you have CIPS/Project Management qualification that's great,however if you have demonstrable experience and strong performance in a similarrole, we'd love to hear from you!
