The Vacancy
We are looking for a proactive and commercially aware colleague to join Monmouthshire Building Society as a Procurement Business Partner. This is a key role within our Procurement team, acting as the central point of coordination for supplier governance, procurement operations and stakeholder capability building across the Society. You will help ensure our supplier relationships deliver long-term value, resilience and strong regulatory compliance.

What will you be doing?
As Procurement Business Partner, you will oversee and coordinate procurement activity across the organisation, ensuring robust governance, accurate reporting and alignment to internal policy and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with Supplier Relationship Managers (SRMs), Contract Owners and senior stakeholders to ensure Tier 1 suppliers are effectively managed and contract outputs delivered. You will also play a significant role in optimising procurement systems, embedding proportional and sustainable procurement practices, and building procurement capability across the Society through training and support.

What will you be doing?
As Procurement Business Partner, you will oversee and coordinate procurement activity across the organisation, ensuring robust governance, accurate reporting and alignment to internal policy and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with Supplier Relationship Managers (SRMs), Contract Owners and senior stakeholders to ensure Tier 1 suppliers are effectively managed and contract outputs delivered. - Coordinating and overseeing Tier 1 supplier management, ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance.
- Providing hands-on guidance and support to SRMs throughout the supplier lifecycle.
- Managing procurement governance, documentation and monthly reporting standards.
- Owning and optimising the Atamis system, ensuring high-quality data and effective use of all modules.
- Supporting complex or regulated procurement exercises in partnership with Legal and external advisers.
- Designing and delivering training to enhance procurement capability across the Society.
- Driving continuous improvement in procurement processes to ensure they are efficient, proportionate and sustainable.

Essential qualifications and experience:
- Relevant educational background or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting procurement activities and working with supplier relationship management.
- Strong understanding of procurement governance and compliance within a regulated environment.
- Experience managing procurement systems and tools.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Commitment to undertaking or completing professional procurement qualifications (e.g. CIPS).
