Nexus Procurement is undergoing a transformation including a restructure of the team. Due to an internal promotion a requirement has arisen for Procurement Specialist within the function. We are seeking a dynamic, proactive and experienced procurement professional. This is a unique opportunity to join the function in delivering the new Target Operating Model and progression of the Procurement Maturity. You will be part of a team delivering strategic procurement change, focusing on agile, pragmatic and proportional procurement for all goods and services delivering value for money. You will be focused on being part of a change to build capability, capacity and credibility.

Typical Day
- Developing and delivering agile, pragmatic and proportionate procurement sourcing strategies across a wide range of goods and services, ensuring innovation, sustainability and value for money.
- dentifying suitable procurement frameworks, carrying out direct awards or running mini-competitions where required, and working closely with framework operators, the Procurement Category Team and internal stakeholders.
- Supporting tendering, negotiation, contracting and contract-management activities for significant spend areas within the relevant category.
- Monitoring and reporting on the status of procurement projects, contributing to dashboards with updates on progress, risks, constraints, opportunities and value-for-money considerations.
- Maintaining and updating the supplier contracts and agreements database to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
About You
- Demonstrates strong procurement acumen, with experience delivering end-to-end procurement activity and managing contracts effectively.
- Able to manage multiple procurement projects across a diverse and varied portfolio.
- Adopts a flexible approach to changing and emerging priorities, thriving in a fast-paced environment and consistently meeting deadlines.
- Provides a flexible, pragmatic and proportionate approach to procurement and contract requirements, maintaining a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
- Delivers agile and adaptable advice to the business on appropriate routes to market for goods, works and services, utilising streamlined options wherever possible, including external framework agreements and alternative sources of supply.
