The Senior CAPEX Procurement Lead is a strategic executive responsible for end-to-end capital expenditure procurement projects. This leader ensures best-in-class sourcing, negotiation, and delivery of capital goods and services in line with organizational strategy, compliance, and operational excellence. As a key member this individual collaborates closely with the Director, Capex & MRO and the Engineering Team, executive stakeholders, and external partners, driving procurement performance in a rapidly evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Procurement Leadership
  • Develop and execute comprehensive CAPEX procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee project portfolios, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and performance.
  • Lead high-level negotiations and contractual agreements with multinational suppliers and contractors.
  • Identify and secure strategic supplier partnerships and alliances to maximize commercial advantage.
• Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as the primary liaison to the Director, Capex & MRO and the Engineering Team for all capital procurement matters.
  • Present strategic recommendations, performance updates, and risk mitigation plans
  • Build and sustain strong relationships across internal departments - including Engineering, Finance, and Operations - to ensure alignment and support.
• Governance & Compliance
  • Champion rigorous adherence to procurement policies, contractual obligations, risk management, and applicable regulations.
  • Establish robust documentation and audit trail, supporting transparency and accountability throughout project lifecycles.
• Risk Management & Value Creation
  • Proactively assess risk across supply chain, quality, and regulatory frameworks; design and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze market trends, emerging technologies, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for value creation and cost optimization.
• Continuous Improvement
  • Lead initiatives to enhance procurement processes, digital tools, and supplier relationship management.
  • Benchmark procurement performance against industry standards and drive ongoing efficiency improvements.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, CPM) preferred.
• Minimum of 10+ years progressive experience in CAPEX procurement, ideally with portfolio management responsibilities exceeding €100 million.
• Proven executive-level stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional and multicultural teams in complex, regulated environments.
• Advanced proficiency in procurement technology, analytics, and project management.
• Fluent in German and English; French or Dutch advantageous.
