We're looking for a forward-thinking Procurement Lead to join our team and help shape how our council delivers high-quality, value-for-money services for residents. This is an exciting opportunity to influence strategic decision-making, drive innovation, and ensure our procurement activity supports our wider corporate priorities.

As our Procurement Lead, you will:

• Provide expert advice on procurement strategy, policy, and best practice across the council
• Lead end-to-end procurement activity and support services in achieving compliant, efficient, and sustainable procurement outcomes
• Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes, systems, and governance
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Procurement Act 2023 and council policies

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, influencing change, and delivering tangible benefits for the community.

Qualities you'll bring:

• Strong experience in public sector procurement or a similar regulated environment
• A solid understanding of procurement legislation, frameworks, and best practice
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach
• Demonstrable previous experience of working in an procurement function
