This is an excellent opportunity to deliver top quality service to a dynamic and busy Department, and to contribute to the overall customer and student experience at the University.

This role is to provide procurement expertise and assistance to the Head of Procurement and Supply Chain (Estates) to ensure effective supplier management and sourcing of materials to meet a constant demand for the supply of stock and non-stock materials and services.

To conduct tenders and assist the Category managers in conducting tenders for goods, services & works as well as manage a team of procurement assistants.

About You

We are looking for a talented individual to work as a Procurement Officer, as part of the Procurement team which supports the Estates Office operation.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for somebody with Procurement experience who is able to demonstrate:
  • Previous commercial experience, preferably in a broad based, multi-disciplinary, procurement environment.
  • Excellent multi-level negotiating and communications skills.
  • Excellent, proven team management & motivation skills.
  • Good numeracy, statistical and ratio analysis skills.

The University Finance office supports business planning and innovation to maximise the financial resources available to the University and create the long-term sustainable financial platform required for future growth.
