Shortlisting Criteria
Essential Criteria
.A minimum of 3 years' experience in a procurement related environment awarding a portfolio of contracts covering the requirements of Supplies, Works or Services,compliant with the Utility / Public Contracts Regulations
.A working knowledge of full procurement process including, engaging stakeholders, preparation of tender enquiry documents, tender analysis and tender negotiations
• A working knowledge of standard conditions of contract
• Strong IT skills with a developed knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite & experience of bespoke procurement systems
• Strong IT proficiency, including the use of Microsoft Office applications, to support complex reporting.
• Driving licence and access to a car or ability to meet the travel requirements of the role
Desirable Criteria
• Full membership of a relevant professional body or currently working towards full membership of a relevant professional body
• A relevant honours degree, or equivalent (minimum 2:2)
• Proven experience of managing disputes and supplier performance issues in relation to contract management
• A working knowledge of the Utility / Public Contracts Regulations and practical experience in leading procurements related to the construction / engineering / manufacturing or public sector industries
A working knowledge of drafting non-standard conditions of contract
A working knowledge of negotiating contract terms and conditions
