Job summary
The Procurement Manager (Sourcing) will play a key role in delivering high quality procurement support across the North East London Procurement Partnership (NELPP), working on behalf of partner NHS organisations to secure compliant, timely and value-for-money procurement outcomes. The post holder will lead end-to-end sourcing activity across an agreed portfolio of non-pay categories, managing quotations, mini-competitions, tenders and framework call-offs. Working closely with clinical and corporate stakeholders, the role will provide professional procurement and commercial advice, support robust governance and audit compliance, and contribute to contract mobilisation and ongoing supplier performance arrangements. The post holder will also support the delivery of savings, cost avoidance and wider social value benefits, while contributing to service improvement, standardisation and the continued development of best practice across the NELPP service.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will deliver operational procurement sourcing activity on behalf of the North East London Procurement Partnership (NELPP), supporting partner NHS organisations to achieve compliant, timely and value-for-money procurement outcomes.
Lead end-to-end sourcing activity (RFQs, mini-competitions, tenders and call-offs) for an agreed portfolio of non-pay categories and projects.
Provide commercial and procurement advice to stakeholders, ensuring robust governance, audit trail and compliance with applicable procurement rules and local Standing Financial Instructions.
Support effective contract mobilisation and contract management, including supplier performance reviews, variations and renewal planning.
Deliver savings, cost avoidance and wider added value benefits, with appropriate benefits tracking and reporting.
Contribute to NELPP service improvement, standardisation and the maintenance of relevant procurement and commercial standards.
