About the Opportunity

A major offshore energy operator is seeking an experienced Procurement Expeditor to support large-scale offshore EPIC projects in Qatar. This role will focus on procurement coordination, expediting, vendor management and material delivery activities to ensure critical project equipment and materials are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project schedules.

The successful candidate will work closely with project services teams, contractors, vendors and inspection teams to support procurement execution across complex offshore oil and gas developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide procurement management and expediting support for offshore EPIC projects
• Monitor procurement activities to ensure project delivery objectives are achieved on time and within budget
• Develop procurement strategies and plans for long lead items and critical equipment packages
• Support contractor procurement scope development in accordance with project specifications, corporate procedures and industry standards
• Monitor procurement changes and variations during engineering, tendering, bidding and purchase order execution stages
• Follow up on engineering requisitions, procurement status and delivery schedules
• Coordinate with buyers, expeditors, inspectors and vendors throughout procurement execution
• Support vendor evaluation, qualification and audit activities
• Participate in technical and commercial procurement meetings
• Monitor vendor performance and support timely resolution of procurement-related issues
• Support development and continuous improvement of procurement procedures, strategies and controls
• Coordinate spare parts management activities with contractors, operations and warehouse teams
• Manage SPIR and SAP-related procurement activities to support timely spare parts identification and delivery
• Support project closeout activities and contribute to lessons learned initiatives
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements and procurement optimization

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Engineering from a recognized university
• Minimum 12 years of procurement experience within major offshore oil and gas projects
• Strong experience supporting offshore EPIC project execution
• Previous Gulf region project experience is preferred
• Strong knowledge of procurement, buying, expediting, inspection and vendor management activities
• Experience developing procurement strategies and procurement plans for offshore projects
• Strong understanding of international codes, standards and procurement best practices
• Experience coordinating with EPC contractors, vendors and inspection teams
• Knowledge of spare parts management, SPIR processes and SAP systems
• Strong communication, reporting and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel for vendor, supplier and fabrication site visits when required
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder coordination abilities
