Southern Housing is looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Procurement Manager to support the delivery of our annual procurement pipeline and help embed sustainable procurement across the organisation.
Reporting to the Procurement Business Partner, you will play an important role in directing and supporting the business to deliver procurement activity that is compliant, efficient and socially responsible. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, residents, and external partners to ensure procurement processes drive value for money while also delivering positive social, environmental and economic outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with procurement experience, a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape, and a passion for using procurement as a force for good.
What you'll be doing:
This role can be based in any of our offices and will require attending to Farringdon (London) office for team meetings. This is a hybrid working role with the option to work from home 3 days per week. Work from home days to be agreed with line manager.

What you'll be doing:
- Deliver annual tendering and procurement activity through eProcurement systems
- Support procurement training and provide guidance on policies and procedures
- Involve residents in procurement planning and project co-creation
- Support contract awards and prepare contract management documentation
- Record and report on social, environmental and economic value delivered through the supply chain
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to support effective procurement activity
- Promote opportunities to SMEs through market engagement and supplier networks

What you'll need:
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and procedures
- Understanding of Procurement Act 2023, Public Contracts Regulation 2015, Social Value (Public Services) Act 2012 and relevant Procurement Policy Notes
- Experience of contract management and a good understanding of contract terms and conditions
- Knowledge of social value and sustainable procurement as well as understanding of the housing sector
- CIPS Level 4 Diploma (or equivalent experience), with willingness to work towards the Advanced Diploma
- Strong IT skills, including MS Office, eProcurement and purchase-to-pay systems
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and interpret financial data to support value-for-money outcomes
