NES Fircroft are currently working with an Oilfield Services company who are looking for an experienced Buyer to join their team in Stavanger. This is a contract position which is expected to last until March 2026. 

The successful candidate will support the purchasing needs of the organisation and ensure the Goods and Services are purchased from selected suppliers that meet demand requirements, technical, and quality specifications.

Responsibilities: 

• Review Purchase Requirements and specifications to obtain the required information for scope of purchase
• Provide internal stakeholders with Procurement expertise and guidance creating value for involvement in business planning efforts and operation
• Coordinate purchase activities for agreed areas from the RFQ stage until delivery ensuring that supplies are delivered on time and with the agreed technical and quality requirements
• Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible
• Negotiate improved prices and terms of business with suppliers

Requirements: 

• Degree in SCM/Norwegian Association of Purchasing and Logistics (NIMA) or relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience within Procurement/Supply Chain Management is preferred
• Fluent Norwegian and English skills, both oral and written
• Proficient in MS Office and experience from ERP systems
